The Fajã dos Cubres is one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal - Villages

The Fajã dos Cubres, on the island of São Jorge, is one of the 7 wonders of Portugal - Villages in the Sea Villages category, in a contest that had popular vote.
Since 2007 the 7 Wonders spread and communicate the positive values of a strong National Identity - recognized national causes. The 7 Wonders of Portugal® Villages candidates were organized into 7 categories and the 7 winners were cleared by the highest number of votes in each of the 7 categories. There were 49 Portuguese villages, some of the Azores, such as Biscoitos (Terceira), Sete Cidades and Furnas (São Miguel).
