Azores, Platinum QualityCoast Destination of the World

The assessment made to the application prepared by the Regional Directorate for Maritime Affairs reveals that the Azores corresponded to 96% of the criteria established by the organization. This score allows the Azores to be awarded the Platinum award, which recognizes the high quality of the Azores in related topics such as nature and landscape, environment and climate, culture and tradition, well-being and hospitality, among others

In the year in which the United Nations declares the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, these distinctions reinforce the position of the Azores as a true sustainable destination, distinctions that the Azores Tourism / ATA will proudly continue to associate with the promotion of the destination.
